    400 gram Heroin worth Rs 40 lakh seized, 3 arrested

    As a part of anti-drug drive, Haryana Police has arrested three persons on the charges of possessing Heroin weighting 400 gm in Sirsa district. The estimated value of seized contraband is around Rs 40 lakh. Arrested accused, who were coming from Fatehabad side in a car were nabbed by a team of CIA at a COVID-19 Naka duty on NH-9 near Ding Mor. The police team checked the vehicle and recovered 400 gram Heroin. Initial investigations revealed that arrested accused had brought seized Heroin from Delhi and were going to supply it among addicts.

    Man arrested with 715 gram Heroin worth Rs 75 lakh

    In yet another crackdown, Haryana Police has arrested a person on the charges of possessing 715 gram Heroin worth around Rs 75 lakh from Jind district. Arrested accused has been identified as Narender alias Kali, a resident of village Raithal. He was arrested by a team of Crime Investigation Agency after getting a secret input. A case under NDPS Act was registered against the accused, who has been taken on remand by producing in the court. The accused will be intensively interrogated as to where and whom the heroin was to be supplied.

    Criminal carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 arrested from Nuh

    In a major catch, Haryana Police have arrested a most-wanted criminal from Dist. Nuh. Police has also recovered a country-made pistol and two live cartridges from his possession. Arrested accused has been identified as Shahid, R/o Raipuri. He was nabbed by a CIA team following a tip-off. Initial investigations revealed that about half-a-dozen criminal cases were registered against him in Nuh and Faridabad districts. Faridabad Police had declared a bounty of Rs 50,000 on his arrest for his involvement in kidnapping and dacoity cases.

    DGP Haryana administers Anti-Terrorism Day pledge

    Anti-Terrorism Day was observed at the Haryana Police Headquarters complex in the presence of Director General of Police (DGP), Haryana Sh Manoj Yadava and other senior Police Officers on 21 May. On this occasion, DGP Sh Manoj Yadava administered the pledge to a large number of staff members who attended the pledge ceremony. The pledge read, "We the people of India, having abiding faith in our countrys tradition of non-violence and tolerance, hereby, solemnly affirm to oppose with our strength, all forms of terrorism and violence. We pledge to uphold and promote peace, social harmony and understanding among all fellow human beings and fight the forces of disruption threatening human lives and values.

    One rewarded criminal & his aide arrested

    Nuh Police team has arrested one rewarded criminal and his associate after a brief exchange of fire in district Nuh. Both were arrested after a brief encounter near Ghasera Nahar line when one of them opened fire at the police team and tried to flee. Police have also recovered two country made pistols, a live cartridge and two empty khol. The arrested accused were identified as Shaukat (a rewarded criminal) and his aide Rahul, both R/ o village Shikarpur, Police Station Taoru. A number of ATM robbery cases were registered against accused Shaukat in the states of Delhi, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Uttrakhand.

    256 kilo Marijuana leaves seized in Haryana, 3 held

    In a major haul, Haryana Police in Rohtak district has busted a gang transporting narcotic substance and seized 256 kg 90 gram marijuana leaves from a truck loaded with watermelons and pineapples. Police have also arrested three accused, and impounded two vehicles in this connection. Arrested accused were identified as Arun, R/o district Vaisavi (Assam), Jitender, R/o Darua (Chandigarh) and Sunil of village Baniyani. Initial investigation revealed that seized contraband was brought from Assam for supply in Rohtak, Panipat and Jind area. Watermelons and pineapples were loaded in the truck in order to hide the contraband.

    Haryana Police crackdown hard on criminal elements during lockdown

    Tightening noose on criminal elements during lockdown, Haryana Police have apprehended 3 most-wanted and rewarded criminals, 21 other rewarded criminals involved in heinous crimes, 61 proclaimed offenders, 40 bail jumpers, besides busted an inter-state ATM robbers gang involved in more than 15 cases of ATM theft cases (in Delhi, NCR and UP) from district Palwal, Nuh and Police Commissionerate, Faridabad. Police teams staged a massive crackdown on criminal elements and organized gangs during the lockdown. It’s a part of an effort to prevent unlawful activities to make sure the safety and security of citizens across the State.

    More than 100 kg narcotics substances seized

    Over the past fortnight, Police has seized more than 100 kg narcotics substance from different parts of the State. Police has apprehended 15 accused in the past 15 days after the seizure of 53 kg Charas from Bhiwani, 9 kg Doda post from Kaithal, 4.05 kg Ganja from Palwal, 3.09 kg Opium from Fatehabad, 10.20 kg Doda post from Hansi, 2.03 kg Ganja leaf from Sonipat, over 17 kg Ganja from Gurugram and 41.20 gm Heroine, 95 gm Opium and 200 gm Poppy Husk from Sirsa.

    Haryana Police seizes 53.6 kg 'Charas', one held

    In a major catch, Haryana Police has seized 53.6 kg ‘Charas’ and arrested one person in this connection from Bhiwani district. Arrested accused identified as Jaipal, R/o village Mitathal was carrying the seized contraband on a motorcycle. The ‘Charas’ was seized by a team of CIA from near Meham road, Bhiwani. A case under NDPS Act registered and further investigation is underway.

    Haryana Police tightens screws on criminals, drug peddlers & bootleggers amid COVID-19 lockdown

    In a massive crackdown during lockdown period, Haryana Police have arrested 5 most-wanted and 48 other criminals involved in various heinous crimes from Hisar Range comprising Hisar, Jind, Sirsa, Fatehabad and police district Hansi. Besides, police have also seized over 972 kg narcotic substance and recovered more than 2.04 lakh bottles of liquor either illicit or being transported illegally in the Hisar Range during the lockdown period. One most-wanted has been apprehended from each Hisar, Hansi and Jind district while two from Sirsa district. The other 48 criminals involved in various heinous crimes included 16 from Hisar, 8 from Hansi, 9 from Jind, 13 from Sirsa and 2 from Fatehabad

    Haryana Police nabbed 80 criminals in Rohtak

    Continuing its crackdown on criminals and anti-social elements during lockdown, Haryana Police in Rohtak district has nabbed 80 such offenders involved in murder, attempt to murder, dacoity, burglary, theft and other criminal activities between March 23 and May 3, 2020. Rohtak Police has also worked out 42 cases pertaining to crime against property during the same period.

    Most-wanted nabbed in a joint operation from Sirsa

    Haryana Police, in a joint operation with National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Punjab Police, has arrested three persons including two most-wanted of Punjab and one other accused from Begu village in Sirsa district. Arrested accused have been identified as dreaded smuggler Ranjit Singh alias Cheeta, his brother Gagandeep alias Gagan, both resident of Punjab and Gagan’s relative Gurmeet Singh of village Begu, Sirsa. Police has also recovered 1.2 kg Poppy Husk from the possession of Gurmeet. Both Ranjit Singh and his brother Gagan were arrested in connection with FIR under NDPS Act registered in Amritsar in which 532 kg Heroine was recovered and is being investigated by NIA and second FIR registered for financial aid to terrorist organization. It has also been revealed that Ranjit Singh alias Cheeta and Gagan had links with the Hizbul Mujahideen and had been involved in terror funding, which is being intensively investigated. 10 criminal cases were also registered against them under various crime heads in Punjab.

    Sharp fall in various heinous crimes in April 2020 during lockdown

    As a combined result of the various restrictions imposed and enforced by the Haryana Police Department during the state-wide lockdown with effect from March 25, 2020, there has been a sharp fall in various heinous crimes during the month of April 2020. The stepped up and round-the-clock vigil by police personnel, placement of inter-state and inter-district nakas and enhanced patrolling together with reduced scope of movement in the public places have resulted in an impressive and unprecedented fall under most heads of crime during April 2020. The crime against persons went down by more than 50 per cent during April 2020 as compared to same period of last year. During the month of April 2020, the number of cases of murder went down to 49 as compared to 94 in the month of April 2019, which a fall of 47.9 per cent. The cases of causing hurt (both simple and grievous hurt) went down from 221 in April 2019 to 149 this year resulting a fall of 32.6 per cent. The cases of kidnapping/abduction of boys and men went down to just 7 cases in April 2020 as compared to 44 cases in April 2019, a fall of 84 per cent. Further, there was a massive fall of 740 cases (76.7%) in cases of wrongful confinement of persons which went down from 965 in April 2019 to 225 in April 2020. Similarly, there was a fall of 75 cases (47%) in cases of criminal trespass during the month of April 2020 as compared to the last year.

    3 arrested with 688 gram Heroin in Fatehabad

    During the ongoing Covid-19 lockdown, Haryana Police has seized 688 gm of Heroin worth around Rs 1 crore, and apprehended three persons in this connection from Fatehabad district. It has also impounded a canter being used in smuggling. Arrested accused have been identified as Rakesh alias Kalu, R/o Makhusurani, Vijay of Ding Mandi and Raghuvir Singh, R/o Bodiwali. The crackdown was made by Anti-Narcotic team at a check-point near T-point Mohammadpur Rohi road. Initial investigation revealed that they had procured seized contraband from a youth in Delhi.

    Haryana Police seizes 5200 boxes of illicit liquor worth Rs 3 Cr during lockdown

    In a major crackdown, Haryana Police has seized 5200 boxes of illicit Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) in Sonipat district when the consignment was being smuggled in trucks during the ongoing Covid-19 lockdown. Police has also arrested three persons in this connection. The estimated value of seized liquor is around Rs 3 crore. A case under relevant sections of the Excise Act has been registered against the accused at Murthal Police Station and further investigation is under progress.

    Haryana Police arrested a criminal wanted in several cases of ATM robbery

    In a major break-through, Haryana Police has arrested a man who was wanted in a dozen cases of uprooting and looting ATMs in 6 states after a brief encounter from Nuh district. A loaded country-made pistol also recovered from his possession. Arrested accused was identified as Chunna alias Hasim, R/o Mohammadpur Ahir. Initial investigation revealed that arrested accused was involved in 4 ATM loot cases in Maharashtra, 3 similar cases in Bihar, 2 cases in Assam, and 1 each case of ATM loot in Himachal Pradesh, Utrakhand and Nagaland. He also confessed his involvement in loot incidents in Nuh and Gurugram.

    Wanted criminal of Mathura with Rs 15000 reward lands in Haryana Police net

    Haryana Police has arrested a criminal from Nuh district, wanted by the Police of Mathura (UP) and carrying a reward of Rs 15000. Police has also recovered a loaded country-made pistol from his possession. Arrested accused was identified as Shahid, R/o Ghasera, Nuh. The crackdown was made by Crime Branch team following a secret input. Initial investigation revealed that arrested accused was wanted by Mathura Police in connection with a criminal case registered under section 307 of IPC at Mathura Police Station. Mathura Police had announced a bounty of Rs 15,000 on his arrest.

    Haryana Police issues advisory to check cybercrime during lockdown

    In the wake of COVID-19 lockdown, Haryana Police has issued an advisory requesting citizens not to share any personal information or respond to suspicious links on Whatsapp or email as it could result in funds being siphon off from their bank accounts. Cyber offenders are using various tactics to dupe money from the bank accounts of gullible citizens by taking advantage of lockdown. The people should exercise maximum caution while handling suspicious emails/other links about COVID-19. CyberCyber criminals may dupe people by asking them to donate for COVID-19 through fake UPI IDs which are similar to UPI ID used by the Prime Minister’s Citizens Assistance and Relief in Emergency Situation (PM-CARES) Fund. Similarly, they can seek funds through social media by creating fake bank account of COVID-19. It has been advised that people should not transfer money to any unverified account published in social platforms, he added.

    Haryana STF arrest most-wanted criminal from Lucknow

    In a major break-through, a team of Haryana’s Special Task Force (STF) has arrested a most-wanted criminal, carrying a reward of Rs 25000, from Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh. Arrested accused was identified as Subhash alias Rajesh, a native of Budanpur (UP). He had killed his room-mate over a financial dispute in Sonipat in year 2001. Since then, the accused was absconding. Police has announced a bounty of Rs 25,000 for any information leading to his arrest. Now he finally landed in the police trap.

    DGP Haryana asks District Police Chiefs to stop transportation of Rabi crop from neighbouring states

    Director General of Police, Haryana Sh. Manoj Yadava instructed all the District Police Chiefs (CPs and SPs) to take action to prevent the arrival of wheat and mustard from neighboring states to the grain markets and procurement centers of Haryana during ongoing Rabi season. In his orders issued to all Commissioners of Police and District Superintendents of Police, the DGP asked them to ensure effective enforcement at all the nakas located at inter-state borders and do not permit entry of wheat or mustard crop harvested from fields located in neighbouring states especially the Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Punjab.

    COVID-19: DGP Haryana expresses gratitude to police force for their service

    Director General of Police, Haryana, Mr. Manoj Yadava thanked the police officers and jawans working round the clock in fighting COVID-19 and added that serving the people in the given situation has been possible with their immense support and cooperation. At the same time, he also advised them to discharge duty with utmost safety. The DGP said that all the countries of the world including India are currently facing the corona virus crisis. Appreciating the police personnel, he said that police force for the last nearly one month have been working relentlessly and serving the mankind by strictly following the lockdown. The excellent behaviour and tireless efforts of the police in defeating the disease is being appreciated by the state government, media and the general public, as well. The police will continue its efforts in fighting the disease, he added.

    7 held in Haryana for gambling, Rs 4.70 lakh recovered

    Crime Investigation Agency of Haryana Police arrested 7 persons under Gambling Act and recovered Rs 4.70 lakh as stake money from their possession in district Rewari. The arrested accused were identified as Manoj, Naresh, Krishan, Pawan Kumar, Bhagwan Dass, Deepak and Adesh Gupta. A case under section 188 of IPC and Gambling Act was registered against them.

    952 cartons of illicit liquor seized in Haryana amid lockdown, one held

    Continuing its crackdown on illicit liquor smuggling, Haryana Police has seized 952 cartons of illicit liquor from district Jhajjar during the ongoing lockdown to combat the COVID-19. Police has also impounded a truck having a sticker of essential supplies, being used in smuggling. Liquor was found concealed under the onion bags. The arrested accused has been identified as Pramod, a resident of district Sonipat. The accused failed to produce any licence or permit with respect to the seized liquor. A case has been registered in this connection and further investigation is underway.

    Two youths land in Police net with 287 gram Heroin

    CIA of Haryana Police has arrested two youths on the charges of possessing 287 gram of Heroin in district Sirsa. The estimated market value of seized drug is around Rs 53 lakh. Arrested accused were identified as Jaspal Singh alias Jassi and Jagsir Singh alias Jagga, both resident of district Bathinda, Punjab. Initial investigation revealed that accused were going to supply it among addicts in Bathinda and Rampura Phool area. Both were booked under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and further investigation is underway.

    1200 bottles of illicit liquor seized from a truck in Kaithal

    Haryana Police has seized 100 boxes (1200 bottles) of illicit Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) in Kaithal district which was being smuggled in a truck. Police has also arrested two persons in this connection. Arrested accused were identified as Sunil Kumar (driver) and Rajbir alias Pola. A case under relevant sections of IPC and Excise Act has been registered against the accused and further investigation is under progress.
