    STF seizes 1 kg 750 gram Opium, two held

    In an anti-narcotic drive, Haryana Special Task Force (STF) has seized 1 kg 750 gram Opium from a car in Hisar district and arrested two persons in this connection. Arrested accused were identified as Mohit, a resident of village Mangali Surtia and Vinod Kumar of village Parta. The crackdown was made by a team of STF Hisar following a tip-off. Both accused were arrested from Muklan bus stand in Hisar district. A case under the provisions of NDPS Act was registered against the accused and further investigation is under process.

    Haryana Police arrest 577 POs and bail jumpers in a fortnight period

    Haryana Police has arrested 577 Proclaimed Offenders (POs) and Bail Jumpers during a special fortnight drive, which concluded on February 29, 2020. A total of 330 POs and 247 bail jumpers were nabbed during the crackdown, which began on February 14. Among the arrested offenders, many of them were evading their arrest for a very long time. Maximum number of Proclaimed Offenders and Bail Jumpers (125) were arrested from Sonipat district followed by Panipat (75), Faridabad (71), Karnal (33) and Gurugram (31). Police teams have launched a special hunt to send these offenders behind bars.

    Under Training P/SIs made aware about the speedy steps Haryana Police is taking towards computerization

    In Haryana, citizens can apply online for availing benefit of 33 types of services. Now they can apply for these services online through the Haryana Police HarSamay citizen portal or Saral Kendra while sitting comfortably at home. In addition, Character Certificate, Tenant Verification Certificate, Police Clearance Certificate can be obtained which are digitally signed at citizen’s convenience through Haryana Police’s HarSamay citizen portal. This was stated by Additional Director General of Police, Administration and IT, Mr A.S. Chawla while addressing the under training Sub-Inspectors of Haryana Police at a session on the topic of computerization in Haryana Police organized at Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban in Karnal.

    Haryana Police to install Speed Radars to prevent road traffic accidents

    Haryana Police has decided to install a network of Speed Radars, Automatic Number Plate Readers (ANPRs) and Cameras on 187 km stretch of NH-44 (passing through five districts of Ambala, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Panipat and Sonipat) which will be connected to a Centralized Control Room to initiate a crack down on dangerous driving, over speeding and unsafe lane changing. A blue print to this effect was prepared at a brainstorming session on the road safety held under the chairmanship of Director General of Police (DGP) Mr Manoj Yadava during the observance of 31st National Road Safety Week-2020 across the State.

    Haryana STF seizes over 66 K banned tablets, 40 boxes of illicit liquor

    In a major crackdown, Haryana Special Task Force (STF) has seized 66,240 banned medicines and arrested two persons who were in the possession of these tablets in Kurukshetra district. Besides, Police has also confiscated 40 boxes of illicit liquor. A team of STF has recovered 57,600 tablets of Alprazolam and 8,640 tablets of Tramadol from the possession of two persons identified as Kalu Ram and Dharampal, both resident of Thaska Mirzi, police station, Ismailabad, Kurukshetra. The STF Ambala team has recovered banned tablets in huge quantity and 40 boxes of country-made illicit liquor following a raid at house of accused Kalu Ram.

    Haryana Police adds Bolero to its fleet

    In a major addition to its surveillance system, Haryana Police has added 226 new Bolero vehicles to its fleet for law and order duties across the State. All these vehicles would be provided to field units for maintaining law and order as well as for Police Control Rooms (PCRs) duties. As a part of modernization, the new vehicles would play an effective role in further strengthening law and order besides crime control across the State.

    Heroin worth Rs 1 crore seized, two held

    As a part of special anti-drug drive, Haryana Police have seized 500 gram of heroin from a car in district Sirsa and arrested two persons in this connection. The estimated market value of seized drug is around Rs one crore. Arrested accused were identified as Ramandeep Singh alias Sona, a resident of Sahuwal and Pragat alias Kaka, a resident of Raghuana. The crackdown was made by a team of Crime Investigation Agency following a tip-off. A case under NDPS Act was registered against them. They will be taken on remand by producing them in the court so that name of others involved in this racket of drug peddling could be unearthed.

    Haryana DGP announces reward to policeman who returns lost wallet with Rs 40K to owner

    Haryana Director General of Police, Mr Manoj Yadava announced a cash reward of Rs 5,000 and Commendation Certificate-I for the Sub-Inspector Mr Darshan Singh, who returned a wallet containing Rs 40, 000 in cash and other precious belongings to its owner in Pinjore (Panchkula). Sub-Inspector has set an example of honesty by returning the lost wallet to its owner. Darshan Singh, who has made the entire Haryana police proud, really deserves every ounce of appreciation for his honesty.

    Heroin worth Rs 30 lakh seized, two held

    Haryana Police has arrested two persons on the charges of drug-peddling in Fatehabad district and recovered 150 gram of Heroin from their possession. The estimated market value of seized drug is around Rs 30 lakh. Arrested accused identified as Balbir alias Sonu and Rohtash alias Gholu residents of Tarkan Wali in Sirsa. A case under the provisions of NDPS Act was registered.

    Heroin worth Rs 15 lakh seized, two held

    Haryana Police has arrested two persons including a woman on the charges of drug-peddling in Fatehabad district in separate cases and recovered 75.40 gm of Heroin from their possession. The estimated market value of seized drug is around Rs 15 lakh. First incident, a team of anti-narcotic cell has arrested Kulvindra alias Kala, a resident of village Badalgarh, Ratia and recovered 55.20 gm Heroin from him. Initial investigation revealed that accused has been selling Heroin and Smack for last three years. He himself a drug addict and a number of drug peddling cases were registered against him. He used to buy heroin and smack from Nigerian smugglers in Delhi for sale in Ratia area.

    Haryana Police seizes 160 gm Charas, 40 kg Poppy Husk, two held

    In another crackdown, Haryana Police has arrested two persons on the charges of drug-peddling in district Sonipat and recovered 160 gm Opium, 40 kg Doda/Chura Post (Poppy Husk) from their possession. Arrested accused were identified as Satbir, resident of village Nangal Khurd (Sonipat) and Rajkumar, a native of district Madhubani (Bihar). During preliminary interrogation, accused revealed that they had brought seized contraband from Mangalwada, district Udaipur (Rajasthan) to make a profit by selling it in retail in nearby areas.

    Haryana Police nab most-wanted criminal with illegal arms

    Haryana Police has arrested a most wanted criminal carrying a reward of Rs 25000 from district Sonipat. Police has also recovered a country-made pistol along with three live cartridges from his possession. Arrested accused was identified as Sonu, a resident of village Khanda in district Sonipat. He was nabbed by team of Kharkhoda Police Station following a tip-off. Initial investigations revealed that eight cases pertaining to murder, attempt to murder, assault, loot, dacoity, threat to kill were registered against the accused in different police stations.

    Haryana Police ‘Know Your Case’ scheme getting positive response

    In Haryana, more than 2.25 lakh citizens have visited respective police stations and units to get the status of investigation or inquiry of their complaints and cases under the ‘Know your Case’ scheme during year 2019. Out of these, over 1.27 lakh citizens enquired about the progress in complaints and 97,592 obtained information about criminal cases. Maximum footfall witnessed in district Palwal where 32,237 citizens directly met the investigation officers or senior officers to enquire about the progress in pending complaints and criminal cases, followed by Gurugram and Faridabad districts with the figure of 29,073 and 22,673 respectively.

    Haryana Police reunites 2381 missing children with their families in 2019

    Haryana Police has achieved a milestone of re-uniting 2,381 missing children with their families during the calendar year 2019. Among the traced missing children, 1,150 are boys and 1,231 are girls. Some of these children had been missing for a long period of time. Police has been playing a significant role in tracing the missing children and uniting them with their parents. Out of the total, 1,929 children were traced and reunited by district police teams and the remaining 452 were traced by the Anti Human Trafficking Units of State Crime Branch, who have also been playing a pivotal role in this noble cause.

    The five-day 68th All India Police Wrestling Group-2019 concluded successfully

    The five-day 68th All India Police Wrestling Group-2019 held at Haryana Police Complex, Madhuban, was successfully concluded. Chief Guest Haryana Director General of Police Manoj Yadava said in his address that I am feeling happy and exited on this evevnt. I am proud of our police officers and sports persons who brought laurels to the department at national and international event.

    Haryana Police tightens the noose on sex offenders

    Haryana Police is constantly striving to bring the sex offenders to justice through effective and concerted presentation of evidences before the concerned courts. In this series, Police has secured conviction of 26 accused booked under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and relevant provisions of IPC dealing with rape in the month of February 2020. 5 convicts were sentenced life imprisonment, eight convicts awarded 20 years imprisonment, 9 sentenced 10 years jail, two such offenders got 7 years imprisonment and one each convict awarded 5 years and 2 years jail term respectively.

    Haryana Government sanction new posts to curb cyber crime

    With a view to curb the increasing incidents of cyber crime and ensure effective investigation, Haryana Government has accorded sanction for the creation of 98 posts of police staff and IT professionals for the Cyber Crime Police Stations and Cyber Forensic Lab functioning under the State Crime Branch at Panchkula. Home Minister, Haryana Mr Anil Vij said that out of the total, 42 posts were sanctioned for Police staff and remaining 56 posts have been approved for IT professionals.

    Haryana DGP launches CCTNS Dashboard and Verification Services Reports

    Director General of Police, Haryana Mr Manoj Yadava launched 4 State Pragati Dashboard and 2 Verification Services Reports integrated with the Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) at Police Headquarters in Panchkula. The event was attended by ADGP Admin & IT, Mr Arshinder Singh Chawla, ADGP, Law and Order, Mr Navdeep Singh Virk, DIG, Law and Order, Mr Rakesh Kumar Arya, DIG Admin Mr Satender Kumar Gupta, SP IT Mr Waseem Akram and other police officers.

    5580 prohibited pill, 40 gm heroin, 16 kg poppy husk seized, three held

    Haryana Police in separate cases has arrested three persons on the charges of drug-peddling in Sirsa district and recovered 5580 prohibited pharma pills, 40 gm of Heroin and 16 kg Poppy Husk from their possession. In the first incident, Police has arrested Kaur Singh, R/o Bahman Jassa, Bathinda (Punjab) from village Jamal area after it recovered 5580 prohibited pharma pills from him. In another crackdown, a team of Anti-narcotic cell during patrolling has arrested Sandeep Kumar alias Kaku, R/o village Badaguda. The accused was found in possession of 40 gm Heroin. Another crackdown on drug peddlers was made by Nathusari Chopta Police where they arrested accused Dalbir, a resident of Odhan Kalan. He was arrested during patrolling with 16 kg poppy husk from near village Jamal in the district.

    UP’s and Haryana ‘Most Wanted’ lands in police net

    In a major breakthrough, a team of Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Haryana Police has arrested a most wanted criminal Nitin, carrying a reward of Rs 75,000 from Maharaja Agrasain Chowk area in Sonipat district. A country made pistol and a live cartridge was also recovered from his possession. Arrested accused Nitin, a resident of Dhobiwada Jatwara in Sonipat was absconding after committing a number of crimes in Uttar Pradesh and Sonipat district. Police has announced Rs 75,000 bounty for any information leading to his arrest. He was wanted by both UP and Haryana Police.

    Haryana Police issues advisory on law and order in the wake of Delhi stir

    Haryana Police has issued advisory on law and order situation across the State especially for the districts adjoining Delhi in the wake of the recent violence that has taken place in national capital during CAA/NRC protest. ADGP (L & O) Mr Navdeep Singh Virk said that several incidents of violence, stone pelting, arson etc have occured in the national capital in last two days. As a part of precautionary measure, advisory have been issued to all Commissioners of Police and District Superintendents of Police in the State. The police force has been asked to be extra vigilant and take all measures to prevent any occurrence of violence in their respective jurisdiction.

    Haryana Police crack ATM theft case

    Haryana Police has cracked the ATM theft case that took place on the intervening night of February 21 and 22 in Saha of Ambala district. The robbers have uprooted the entire ATM machine and took it along in a vehicle. After a thorough investigation, police had arrested five persons identified as Sunny Khurana of Kurukshetra, Bittu Panchal of Jind, Himanshu of Kurukshtra, Raman Thakur of Kurukshetra and Aman Kathuria of Kurukshetra. Police had also recovered stolen money of Rs 6.77 lakh from their possession.

    Opening ceremony of 68th All India Police Wrestling Competition

    Haryana Governor Shri. Satyadeo Naryan kick started the 68th All India Police Wrestling cluster at Vachher Stadium in Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban. The 5 days competition will be between 24th feb to 28th feb 2020. In the competition 36 teams of various states and para military forces comprising of 2232 players including 576 females will participate.

    Haryana DGP honored IT professionals who supported Haryana Police

    Haryana DGP, Mr. Manoj Yadava honored three IT professionals with Commendation Certificates for their significant contribution in developing of ‘Online B-1 Test’ during the year 2019 and in developing Durga Shakti App for Haryana Police regarding safety of women. Mr Munish Chandan, Head, State e-Mission Team and Mr Puneet Kant, Senior Consultant were honored in recognition of their good work, showing great zeal and devotion in developing software for Online B-1 Test, whereas Mr Mukesh Kumar was honored in recognition of contribution in developing Durga Shakti App for safety and security of women and girls in the State.

    Haryana DGP congratulates best woman rider

    Haryana DGP, Mr. Manoj Yadava on Wednesday congratulated the lady constable Ritu Dahiya for being adjudged as Best Woman Rider in the 38th All India Police Equestrian Championship recently concluded at Police complex, Bhondsi, Gurugram. The DGP said that police players have always brought glory to the State by proving their talent in various national and international sports championships. He also wished her for a better performance in future events. On this occasion, Ritu also assured that she will perform her best in future competitions.
